ASHA is governed by an eleven member volunteer Board of Directors representing all industry aspects. These representatives are elected at the Annual General Meeting. The Board represents the membership in our relationships with Racing Associations, Horse Racing Alberta and the Provincial Government. They administer all contracts, advise on racing rules and conditions and all forms of alternative gambling, as well as instituting insurance programs on behalf of the membership. ASHA is the organization that provides horsemen with an authoritative and united voice towards the manner in which horse racing is conducted.
