MAY 2019 - CARETAKER OF THE MONTH

Meet Amber Campbell, our ‘May’ Caretaker Of The Month!
Amber is a third generation horsewoman and was born in to the harness racing industry. The 39 year old is the daughter of trainer Sanford Campbell and sister of driver Brandon Campbell.
This passionate horse lover acquired her grooms’ license at the young age of twelve and has been grooming horses ever since.
Amber currently works in the Giesbrecht Racing Stable and looks after eight horses. She arrives at the barn at 6:30am. Her day consists of cleaning stalls and water pails, getting horses ready for jogging and training, bathing and putting horses away which requires bandaging, rubbing, soaking feet, brushing and walking.
In addition to working in the Giesbrecht Racing Stable, Amber also co-owns racer Flamingbluestar with her better half James Jungquist.
“I love all my horses but my all time favourite horse is Chalk Player”, shared Campbell.
“My future aspirations are to acquire my trainer’s license and have a stable with James.”
Congratulations Amber and good luck with your future aspirations!
