Horsemen's Bookkeeper Email: [email protected] The Horsemen's Bookkeeper office is open at the race track on Wednesdays from 8:30am to 2:00pm and RACE DAYS 2hrs before post 1 to 1/2 hour after post of last race. Cheque requisitions are due on Mondays for pick up between 12:00pm and 2:00pm Wednesdays. Due by Thursday for pick up Saturday 1hr before post of race 1 to 1/2 hour after post of last race. OFFICE HOURS - THE TRACK ON 2 INC. NOTE: bookkeepers email - [email protected] Cheque requests are due by 6pm Friday in order to guarantee a cheque for Sunday. The Bookkeepers office will open at The Track on 2 Inc. 2 hrs. before post on Race days ONLY Cheques will be available for pick up on Race days ONLY 1hr before post of race 1 to 1/2 hour after post of last race. IMPORTANT: Funds from other tracks cannot be transferred to or from The Track on 2 Inc. All Bookkeeping business MUST take place at The Track on 2 on race days. Should you require documents to be taken to or from the Track on 2, please ask a fellow horsemen or representative to pick up/drop off. Please remember: you are required to leave $52.50 in your purse account for future drivers fees. Horse Racing Alberta rules state ALL purse moneys are held and not available immediately. Overnight Purses (regardless of purse amount) are released midnight of day three (3) after the race day has been conducted, and available on day 4. Stake Purses (regardless of purse amount) are released midnight of day fifteen (15) after the race day has been conducted, and available on day 16. NOTICE FROM THE HORSEMEN'S BOOKKEEPER Texting bookkeeping business is not permitted. : Colleen's phone will block most incoming messages that have photo's/attachments (with written text) attached. It is also not acceptable to do bookkeeping business transactions through Facebook Messenger. There are enough ways to do proper business with the horsemen's bookkeeper but Facebook and text messaging are not! Please look further on THIS page for the CORRECT ways to contact Colleen to conduct your business. PURSE CHEQUE REQUISITIONS Horse Racing Alberta rules state all purse moneys are held and not available immediately.
Overnight races - all overnight purse money is held for 3 days. This money is released at midnight on day 3 and is available on the next bookkeeper business day providing that a requisition is completed and received by the bookkeeper prior to 10am two days before the next race day after the money is released. Stake race - all stake purse money is held for 15 days whether elimination or final. This money is released at midnight on day 15 and is available on the next bookkeeper business day providing that a requisition is completed and received by the bookkeeper prior to 10am two days before the next race day after the money is released. There seems to be some confusion on stake payments when entering for the stake. So, I thought I'd post what I have been informed is the proper procedure.
